Wildflour Pastry (Spring Street, downtown)

So, my staying away from sweets didn’t work out too well when I went into Wildflour bakery. 

I almost had a chance to leave until a customer told me about the chocolate cookie she was about to have. Among her describers were: mind-blowing, out-of-control, amazing, best, life-altering. I realized I was not leaving without one.


If I were to try to describe this, it was crispy/crunchy on the outside, with a chewy/melt in your mouth consistency on the inside. It was like a child born from a cookie and a brownie. I don’t know how Chef Lauren Mitterer did that.
I will certainly go back for more, and try other pastry delights!
